Designing with many color is not a safe way, especially rainbow gradient. Many designer will suggest us not to use every colors available. But not this time, we’ll use rainbow gradient but in a safe way.
Begin we begin, take a look at the picture we’re going to create.
To follow this tutorial, you’ll need this sources:
Create new file, sized 640×480 px with white background and resolution 72 dpi. Activate gradient tool, open Gradient Editor dialog boz and choose gradient type: Noise. No need to worry with the color, we’ll need it.
Draw linear gradient on the canvas.
Duplicate layer, ctrl+J. Changle blend mode to Lighten, press ctrl+T, rotate layer 45 degree.
Create new layer and draw rainbow gradient in 45 degree. Change layer’s blend mode to Multiply.
Create another new layer. Draw radial gradient from white to black in the middle of the canvas. Press ctrl+T and scretch layer until we have this shape.
Change layer’s blend mode to Multiply.
Still using previous steps, draw another gradient. This time from transparent to black.
Draw new layer and fill it with metal pattern.
Add layer mask and hide everything except a little at the middle. Create text in the middle of the canvas.
Add metal effect by adding these layer styles.
Grab star brush and draw some small stars. Don’t overdo this because you might end up with very ugly result.
Draw white line underneath to add tagline.
Add Motion Blur from menu Filter > Blur with angle 0 degree.
Last step, add small text under main text. Make sure you use dark color inside the picture to gain design continuity. Click image below or click here to see final image in full resolution.
