    Thank’s a lot.

    • Jeprie 17 January 2011 at 6:14 am #

      • Hendro 17 January 2011 at 4:57 pm #

      • Jeprie 18 January 2011 at 8:37 pm #

      • Jurryt Visser 19 January 2011 at 1:51 pm #

      • Jurryt Visser 19 January 2011 at 2:07 pm #

thank you. Let’s hope so ;-). Currently I am working on a big project, but still awaiting if we can pull this through or not. In the meanwhile, freelance jobs are my occupation, so if u have any…!

Mau tanya sedikit OOT nih mas. CorelDraw sama Macromedia itu bedanya apa ya? Bisa jelasin singkat aja. Tengkyu sebelumnya. :)

    • Jeprie 20 January 2011 at 7:51 pm #

Mungkin maksud Pak Agus, Macromedia Flash.

      • Agus Siswoyo 23 January 2011 at 6:53 pm #

Makasih penjelasannya.

hasil karyanya bagus2 mas, ada tutorialnya juga ga?

    • Jeprie 22 January 2011 at 7:13 pm #

Saya sudah nulis tutorial cara mengubah foto jadi illustrasi, http://www.desaindigital.com/membuat-illustrasi-dari-foto-dengan-illustrator/.

      • Jurryt Visser 23 January 2011 at 9:32 am #

        nononono,

Everything is done in Illustrator! With my mouse and the anchor point from vector. No lifetracing and no photoshop (except for cutting out photo)

Since the PSDtuts tutorial from someone who tried to explane this style, everyone thinks I am either using PSD for stuff like this or Life Trace. Only Adobe Illustrator and putting every line yourself!

      • Jeprie 23 January 2011 at 9:54 am #

@Jurryt Visser: Yes, I think so too. It’s impossible to create a nice work in your style using Photoshop filter or using automatic Live Trace in Illustrator.

If you read the link to tutorial above, I also explained that the best method to create an Illustration is tracing it manually. Sure, I will never match your unique style, I’m suck at Illustrator, but at least that’s the best I can do.

Thank you for sharing your skill here. It’s interesting to get comment from the artist himself.

By the way, just curious. Is the technique taught in this tutorial, http://designinstruct.com/drawing-illustration/make-watercolor-and-marker-style-portraits-with-illustrator/, similar to your work process?

      • Jurryt Visser 23 January 2011 at 10:01 am #

No, Try to imagine the most basic thing in Illustrator: Pentool. I put anchor for anchor with the mouse and make every singe line and layer myself. Sometimes 1 Illustration can exist out of 400 layers.

There is not really a “tutorial” for this kind of style. It is about how good you can handle the pentool and if you have the “imagination” to see where the contrast should be and where the details should be. I really can not explain, nor write a tutorial about how I am doing this since there is not 1 way.

      • Jurryt Visser 23 January 2011 at 10:05 am #

For Example “Project Unknown, William Wellic” is partly done in Photoshop with the Wacom (painting) and partly done in Illustrator, Vector. Trying to find the perfect blend with those to contrasts without using any “fadings” which you see a lot lately. Try to find the perfect spot to start blending those styles.

It takes a lot of time and effort to create something which “blends” into together. It’s not “Just do relaxing piece of work”.

Usely I start with concept, then make a photo, then find the right spots to blend, black and white, color. Start with line art black and white, then fill the spots in with color to make a perfect blending.

      • Jeprie 23 January 2011 at 10:19 am #

Oh, I can see that. I agree with you. Takes a lot time to learn the blending process. Of course, the hardest part is come up with the concept and really working on it. Take a lot of patience to work on this type of art.

I hope your answer here inspired everyone who just started to learn.

        Thank you for sharing.
